Vets

Attention Veterinarians, vet techs, Certified Animal Welfare Administrators and others interested in serious education on titer testing see Dr.  Ron Schultz’s Saving Lives with Antibody Titer Tests speaking in a video approved for RACE continuing education credits.

Many veterinarians are now offering true wellness checks (not disguised vaccine clinics) with reasonably-priced titer tests and cancer screening. We love these vets and so do their clients!

Are you a veterinarian or a client concerned about over-vaccination? We want to help you find each other.  We are gathering together veterinarians who vaccinate minimally, offer titer testing and treat vaccine-induced illness with integrative methods.

Find a holistic veterinarian.   Find a vet trained in classic homeopathy by Dr. Richard Pitcairn.  Need a board-certified specialist? Or a chiropractor?  Or an acupuncturist?

Are you a vet who would like to be listed on this page as one who vaccinates minimally (if at all) and will give clients the information they need to make informed decisions? Do you regularly use integrative modalities (holistic and conventional) to treat vaccine induced illness?  Send us your website link, photo, and a short bio by e-mail. Indicate if you do phone consults. Tell us your special interests, if any.  Send us your website link, location, photo, and a short bio by e-mail. Indicate if you do phone consults.

Here are our first wonderful vets:

Margo Roman, DVM  Hopkington, MA  Dr. Roman is an internationally-known activist and the Founder of the nonprofits DrDoMore.org and DrShowMore.org.  She is a strong advocate of the principles on this website and is an innovative practitioner.  She has helped Jan Rasmusen’s dog Jiggy immensely.

Dr. Elisa Katz, DVM CVA CVCH CCRT, Bourbonnais, IL  We practice very judicious use of vaccinations.

Shawn Messonnier DVM  Plano, TX “I’m a vet who does very minimal vaccines and uses multiple holistic modalities.”  Dr. Messonier is author of the award-winning The Natural Health Bible for Dogs & Cats and The Natural Vet’s Guide to Preventing and Treating Cancer in Dogs. He has more than 5 million satellite radio listeners on his award-winning show, Dr. Shawn-The Natural Vet, on Martha Stewart Radio Sirius/XM 110, Tuesday night from 7-8 PM CST.  He has had Lori Turner, and soon will have Jan Rasmusen, both petition instigators, on his radio show.

Charles Loops, DVM Pittsboro, NC “I believe in minimal vaccines for puppies and kittens.  With puppies I give only Distemper and Parvovirus vaccines and I give them separately and two weeks apart, preferably waiting until after 12 weeks of age.  I wait until 6 months of age to give rabies.  I rarely find a need to give boosters; I recommend titers.  I believe that many of the chronic conditions I treat are spurred by over-vaccination,  including cancer.  My practice specializes in the treatment of cancer using homeopathy.”

Judy Jasek, DVM  Denver, Co  I do phone consults. I have additional information at:  http://drjudyholisticvet.com/ and will soon offer case consultations through this site as well. Facebook: DrJudy holistic Vet. I provide minimal vaccines and assist with vaccine reactions.

Tamara Hebbler, DVM  Solana Beach, CA  I provide a wide range of holistic modalities for treating vaccine reactions and will do phone consults. I vaccinate minimally and regularly have low cost titer testing clinics.

Donna Kelleher, DVM  Bellingham and Edmonds, WA  I am a vet who treats vaccine reactions with various modalities.
Christina Chambreau, DVM  Baltimore, MD  I have used and taught about homeopathy since 1982. Check out her web site before you call to schedule an appointment as her free articles and information about her practice may answer your animal health questions. She recommends few to no vaccines, treats vaccine reactions, has ways to help prevent vaccine reactions, and will vaccine animals who are local to Baltimore, MD with Rabies. She gives no other vaccines.

Vindhya Cianelli, New Boston, NH, graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She has been practicing emergency medicine, surgery, and general practice in New Hampshire. In 2010 she completed her Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture at the renowned Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.  Other specialties include Holistic Veterinary Medicine and Animal Acupuncture, Herbal Therapies, Food Therapy, Essential Oil Therapy, Medical Massage, Aromatherapy, Reiki, tPEMF Therapy, Medicinal Mushroom Therapy, Non-Sedation Dental Cleaning and Tui-na.

    Hi,

My “holistic” vet wants to charge me $202 for a titer test of my 10 year old Vizla/Boxer mix. He has MCT tumors (2 that my vet doesn’t want to remove. One has been there for 4 years and the other is small) and neither have been growing.

They just sent me a notification to do the combo shot on my pup, which I will NOT do. “Canine DA2Pv Vaccination, 3 Ye – 01/05/2016”

Please help. I live in the Denver, Colorado, area. I am looking for a vet that will use the site you recommend which is $52 for a Distemper/Parvo titer test plus of course I will pay them a bit more for the vet services. But $202, per your article, is way out of line.

    Thank you!!!

Also, he had a MCT removed off his tummy last year and so far, it has not grown back, but I have him on a healthy diet and he’s getting a daily Benedryl and Tagamet, plus Chinese herbals from my vet. He’s doing great!

Janice, did you find a vet to draw blood for your dog?

You wrote that your dog was getting daily Benedryl and Tagamet. That seems odd to me, especially with Chinese herbs. Check out holistic vets at http://www.ahvma.org/find-a-holistic-veterinarian/Reply Cancel

My 4 year old rottie went for annual wellness check, heart worm blood test and titers. I was told there was not a titer test for rabies, and his 3 year “expired” this September. He had the rabies 6/17/15, he was diagnosed 7/15/15 with aggressive lymphoma through the Metropolitan Speciality Clinic in Copley Ohio. I put him down yesterday. My husband and I am devastated. I’m pretty sure that vaccine accelerated a disease process that was slumbering. I’m so angry….

Lily, I’m so sorry for your loss. There IS a titer test for rabies, but it is not yet available to be used for legal purposes.

It’s difficult to say that the vaccine caused the cancer, although it’s possible. It’s very likely that the vaccine caused the disease to become aggressive. Vaccines challenge the immune system. I’ve heard vets say that it’s like throwing gasoline on a fire.

Did your vet check your dog’s health before vaccinating? He/she should have.

If you have other dogs, please read this before vaccinating. https://truth4pets.org/question-before-vaccination/ And tell your friends.

Also, check out the wonderful work that http://www.rabieschallengefund.org is doing. They hope to be able to start vaccinating less and using titer testing for legal purposes.

my poodle has already had a mulitpal shot at 8 weeks and microchip………is any more necessary as i suffer from allergies myaelf ebvrwematial illness he seemed itchey changed to table frood from natural instinks kibble

    • adminjr on February 16, 2014 at 8:48 am

db, you didn’t say what breed your dog is and which vaccines were given. I hope this article helps you: https://truth4pets.org/question-before-vaccination/ In short, your dog will likely need parvovirus and distemper. In most areas, he does not need all the rest. Try to find a holistic vet to help you.

You say you switched to table food. I’m not sure what you mean. Dogs have somewhat different needs from Humans. http://www.dogs4dogs.com/food may help some.

Can u please help me find a vet that will spade my dog if necessary and without up to date 5way and rabies? This special dog is a public figure at 8 months of age and she does not deserve any risk that isn’t needed. “We are not good people for following the law, we are only good citizens. We are good people when we maintain good morals, even despite breaking the law” l.p.alexander

Hi, Lindsey. It’s probably to late since I’m seeing this a year after you posted it. I know a vet who will work with you without “making your dog current on vaccines.” He also will spay or neuter by leaving their hormones, which is best for the dog’s health and gives a longer life, too. You can email me at 96edc3f3 @ opayq.com.
